The more risks you allow your children to take, the better they learn to take care of themselves.” – Roald Dahl
Need to recertify your First Aid credential?
You want to be prepared for the unexpected. You want the peace of mind that comes from being prepared. In this all online course you will learn how to manage acute emergencies calling for CPR, as well as First Aid techniques to respond to the most common illnesses and injuries experienced in nature.
How does it work?
Upon registration, you will immediately receive on-demand access to your online coursework. When your online coursework is complete, you’ll join a live online Skills Lab with a Wild Med trainer. You’ll put your learning into action with realistic scenarios and ask any questions you have so you can get certified and learn to respond to emergencies with confidence and skill – all from home in the most painless and engaging format possible.
Our live online Skills Lab ensures that you receive the same exact certification card as if you took the course in person.
This course is taught by Nicole Thurrell, Wilderness EMT, a highly sought-after instructor among nature-based educators. Should I take Standard First Aid or Wilderness?
What Nature-based Teachers are Saying…
“I have taken many CPR/First Aid classes over the years and this was the best! I was shocked at how effective online learning could be for this material. Thanks to the skill of the trainers and their clear depth of knowledge of the material, I feel like I learned and am retaining the information better than I ever had. The recorded modules and the live sessions were all excellent, and I’m really grateful for this information (I took classes in CPR/AED and in Wilderness First Aid)!”
“This is hands down the highest quality CPR course I have taken. The format is convenient and effective. Nicole’s delivery is excellent. She is enthusiastic, professional and responsive. She went the extra mile to accommodate our needs. And I didn’t expect it to be so much fun! I highly recommend this course!”
“Hands down the best Wilderness First Aid course I’ve ever taken! Presentations are engaging and sprinkled with interesting tidbits from Nicole’s real life experiences. The online course was extremely flexible and fit easily into my busy life. I highly recommend taking a refresher if it’s been a few years since your last first aid/CPR course. So much has changed!”
