Weaving Words as Loose Parts into

Your Outdoor Classroom

Last night I rolled out a new training called, Nature Based Curriculum Using Loose Parts. It was fabulous! Teachers enjoyed playing with a variety of sticks, pebbles, stones, shells, pine cones, and WORDS! The idea of using words as a loose part evolved from my own playing around with outdoor weaving structures and viewing a Word Garden in The Teaching Garden at St. Micheals College. Mixing and matching ideas is my specialty. I love how my Outdoor Weaving Wall turned into something totally unexpected….an interactive Word Wall!
