My take-aways from our group Zoom was that I was stressing too much about constructing the mud kitchen and just needed to focus on simplicity. I have also learned through the evolution process, pieces come together naturally as the children play in the kitchen. When I listen to their voices in imaginative play, it guides me what materials they need. For example, the first day the girls created a tea party with the mud. I needed to add a tea pot and added it to my bucket list to get. A boy said he was making cupcakes for his monsters. I have a cupcake pan but not sure what else to add for that!
It was helpful that we could come together and share resources. Thanks for “Poshmark”.
Finally, it was a pleasure to see fellow classmates live. Please come visit me.

Fabulous reflections!!! Thrilled you went ahead and worked with simplicity. Listening and observing the children play for clues as to what to add next is brilliant. I love the anecdotal references…”tea party” and “cupcakes to feed my monsters.” Yea YOU!
