Love the idea of the clothing lending library! Having extra gloves, rain suits, and maybe even handwarmers available will be a great way to keep the entire program outdoors.
Systems and Routines are key for an all-weather outdoor classroom. Thinking ahead mixed with some creativity is the magic.
Having the right gear is always essential. you have to be prepared for everything. our parents are sent home with gear lists depending on the seasons.
We also have a library for families and have a three-step operation in place for changing children.
Brilliant
Fabulous…would love to have you share your list on the private Facebook page….it would be awesome to see what others are doing.
There is no such thing as bad weather, we need to have proper clothing. We will be purchasing 20 rain gear and rain boots to families who cannot afford this year.
Music to my ears!!! So awesome! Shows your commitment to this work!
The “Outdoor Classroom” will become next year part of our School Success Plan. Knowing that, the parents will embrace the curriculum and agree to make their children ready for learning outside: dress them appropriatly and wearing the outdoor gear. Teachers need also to organise the outdoor gear and be ready for every weather. It’s a “must” !
I absolutely love this!
So important to have teachers and kids properly dressed, so they can be comfortable outside and ready to
learn. Like the idea of a clothing lending library at the outdoor classroom.
Yes!!! So important and often overlooked.
