I love the idea of planting Mint around the mud kitchen. I also like having different gardens growing for different things. Adding knobs to stumps is a wonderful idea too. Thank you for all of this great info. Victoria Hackett December 14, 2020 Log in to Reply WONDERFUL!! Thrilled to see you here and to know you loved Mud Play!! It’s the best! Collette Doyle September 23, 2020 Log in to Reply I loved that there were so many ideas that were low cost or no cost and easy to do. Victoria Hackett October 11, 2020 Log in to Reply Awesome!!! Linda Stephens July 22, 2020 Log in to Reply Loved this recording! Thank you for sharing. The biggest take away I had was the simplicity of making a mud kitchen. We’ve been trying to decide what tools and backdrops to purchase to create our outdoor area and this inspired me to take what we already have! I loved the cinder blocks, stumps, and real pots and pans. Freida Karam July 18, 2020 Log in to Reply Hi Victoria Thank you. I found the workshop interesting and useful. Some things I will take with me: *Plant mint and other plants that the children can cut to use when making mud cakes etc. *Our centre has just purchased a beautiful mud kitchen and picnic table/bench, I like the idea of adding stumps and knobs, this will add character to the mud kitchen area *Asking families to donate pots and pans – great idea, cost effective and re using, looking after the environment. Children may have the opportunity to explore various cultures within our community as families may use different cooking equipment. *Children to be prepared and have appropriate clothing and footwear to play in mud. Spare clothes to change in. *Blackboards and signs I would love some information to share with families about the Value of children playing with mud. As I feel the families will need to be educated.
