We have a lot of the pots and pans and utensils which have been donated by the parents.
The natural materials are gathered by the children. We have visual cards with photos of natural materials and the children will use the cards as aguide to find the items. I love to watch the children create their own list of items that they want to use. Sometimes they have to create their own materials out of other materials. I have visited many Outdoor Classrooms and the Mud Kitchen is fairly new to many.
June 29th was International mud day this year. I did not know about it but we had a rainy day and chose to play outside in the rain, soon we had mud being tossed at walls, jumped in, squished in fingers and LOTS of laughter and we didn’t even know we were celebrating the day.
I love it!! Do you have any pictures? Sounds like a blast! What a gift you are giving your children.
