Hi,
I am Sue Randall and I have a home daycare in Medford MA. My daycare spends 2-3 hours outdoors each day. Much of the time is spent in a nearby woods but we do also use my backyard. The kids in my program were born to dig. I am working out how to change the area in the yard so that it doesn’t become one giant digging hole. Hope this course will help consolidate my various dreams and ideas as well as adding more ideas and approaches into the mix.
Hi Everyone! my name is Cristina and I am from Methuen Mass. I work at a Day Care in Methuen and I am a floater there and I work with kids from babies until 5 years old. I am looking for ideas to have a mud kitchen so I can start one in our playground at the center I work at.
Hello Christina! I am thrilled you are here! Welcome!

Hello
Hi! I’m Karen Wagner from Cottage Montessori in E. Arlington, MA. I have ten 2-1/2 to 5 year old children in my class. I am feeling overwhelmed by the amount of photos and information online about Mud Kitchens and am really looking forward to following a step-by-step procedure so I can wade through and make sense of it all, and figure out what works best for our little group. Thanks!
I’m Karen Wagner from Cottage Montessori in E. Arlington, MA. The children in our class are between 2-1/2 to 5 years old. I’m overwhelmed with all the Mud Kitchen info online and trying to figure out the best way for us to proceed without spending too much money.
Welcome Karen! Thrilled that you found us and hope this e-course offers you the step by step information that you need to create a one-of-kind Mud Kitchen. Can’t wait to get started!
I would like to establish a mud kitchen in my tiny urban (Boston) backyard for my granddaughter. Retired, I became a master gardener. It keeps me outdoors year-round. My 16-month old granddaughter is with me one day a week. We go outside for up to one hour, after morning nap and before lunch. We walk, smell flowers, crinkle dried leaves, and will start doing much more. The mud kitchen will be her outdoor craft and nature activity space.
Hello and welcome Martha! I am thrilled that you are here. What a wonderful goal and gift for your granddaughter. Working in small spaces can be especially fun. The beauty of Mud Kitchens is they come in all shapes and sizes. I imagine the flowers in your mud kitchen and the crinkled leaves in the next Mud Pie recipe. Looking forward to seeing your Mud Kitchen develop. Please take pictures and share. 🙂
I work in Circle Pines Minnesota. I work with 2.5 to 5 year olds daily but also try to encourage my coworkers to embrace messy play infant to school age. Our center values and encourages lot of outdoor and nature play. I want to discover good outdoor storage and gain new ideas to expand my outdoor play and exploration incorporating math, language development and art.
Welcome!! I am thrilled you are here! Storage is a big question and I will make sure I add more ideas on this.
Hello ! I’m so excited to be taking this eclass! I work at Hollister Perbytrian coopertive preschool in Hollister California. I work with children ages 3 to 5. We have a mud kitchen at our school now but it needs updating!
Welcome! I can’t wait to learn more about your program and what “seeds of inspiration” you take away.
I work and play in Hamilton Massachusetts with children who are 3 to 5 years old. I love the way a mud kitchen involves sensory play, math skills, language and more. I want to get ideas for materials storage and find ideas to invite all children into mud kitchen.
You have come to the right place! Thank you for sharing.
