Outdoor Snow Forts at Brookwood School We have OC every Friday afternoon. The topics and activities range from studying migration, exploring our campus woods, pond, and grounds in general to making mud bricks, snow forts, petting zoos (see picture), and maintaining our Butterfly Garden and official Monarch Waystation with Monarch Watch. Last Friday we took advantage of the snowstorms and built snow forts. There was not a lot of direction from teachers other than providing tools and saying: “We are building snow forts today. A Photo Tour: Massachusetts Horticultural Society’s School Garden Conference: Beyond Education The Massachusetts Horticulture’s School Garden Conference was held on Thursday, February 23, 2017, at the beautiful Elm Bank Horticultural Center in Wellesley, Ma. The focus of the conference was on best practices for the region for planning and running a school garden. I got there early and was able to take a beautiful walk around the gardens.
