An Outdoor Classroom Design Vocabulary Challenge

What do you think of when you read these words Indoors? Now sit in your Outdoor Classroom and read these words. Do the words change their meaning? Understanding how teachers and children will use their outdoor space for teaching and learning is critical to the design process.

I challenge you to use these vocabulary words as a guide in your Outdoor Classroom design process. Next to each word describe how you envision teachers and students using your outdoor space. Don’t think too much. Just write down what comes to mind.
