There is a lot to Celebrate! I am so excited to be opening up the Outdoor Classrooms Learning Lab for retreats, half day trainings, and/or 2-hour workshops. It is a delight to be sharing this space and inspiring teachers

This past week 13 teachers from the Christ Church Parish Day School attended the “Creating 20161020_123707_resized_1Outdoor Learning Spaces for Diverse Learners” workshop in our Outdoor Learning Lab. When teachers arrived they were invited to pick up their own hand-made clip-board and explore the outdoor spaces. The piece of paper on the clipboard said, ” Welcome to the Outdoor Classrooms Learning Lab. Please enter this outdoor space as a child would. Use your curiousity, explore and write your “seeds of inspiration” for each learning station.”

Teachers explored a variety of outdoor learning stations, participated in nature-based activities and brainstormed ways in which to bring these ideas back to their own outdoor classrooms.

Teachers described the experience:

“Wonderful to be outside. Very inspiring outdoor space and invitations to be creative.”

“Lovely, I felt like a child again.”

“I enjoyed walking through the garden and seeing all the possibilities that can be implemented.”

“Inspiring, fun, loved hands on.”

“Enriching, fun and inspiring.”

“I love outdoor everything! Thank you for getting our minds going more creatively.”

“Inspiring.”

“Very fun! Interactive.”

“It was fantastic! So great to see it all in person. Very inspirational.”

“Today was so inspiring. Content and surroundings were amazing. Weather spectacular!”

“Today was creative, refreshing and fun! Inspiring.”

“Such good ideas, such intentional nature play.”
