Leaping into Spring &

Taking Flight

An Intergenerational Garden

In February, I coordinated a Mystery Friends Intergenerational Pen Pal Project and wrote about it here: It is Mystery Friends Time Again… Creative letter writing is the esse20150329_112453_resizednce of the Mystery Friends Project.  This year, I was inspired to explore the lost art of letter writing during the month of February and wrote about it here: Month of Letters and Seeds challenge reflections  I incorporated the garden theme into this years Mystery Friends Project and invited senders to add the garden theme to their postcards and letters. These letters became simple gifts and became the foundation for our NEW Intergenerational Garden. Take a peek at the growth!

Inspirations from Our National Parks

In March, I ventured with my family to Arizona and Utah to visit some of our most beautiful National Parks. We started in Sedona, Arizona and ventured to the Grand Canyon National Park, Zion National Park and up to Bryce National Park. On the way back to Sedona we stumbled upon the Pink Sand Dunes State Park and completed our trip with the Red Rock National Park. Preserving these National treasures is truly America’s Best Idea leaving us with some of our greatest Outdoor Classrooms. Tapping into these natural resources is a must. There is so much for all of us to learn! Take a peek!

Trainings, Outdoor Courses & E-Courses

As April approaches, I am gearing up to facilitate a handful of workshops and trainings for both school age and early childhood providers. I am proud to announce some new offerings and new Outdoor Courses. Check out the New Training Page

Teaching in the Dirt: Designing Outdoor Classrooms E-Course is opening it’s doors again for the Spring season. Come and join us. Check it out: Teaching in the Dirt: Designing Outdoor Classrooms E-Course
