Outdoor Classrooms Library Book Tour

Book 3: Cultivating Outdoor Classrooms

What if every child, in every school had access to an outdoor classroom? What if every school community knew how to create an outdoor classroom? As we continue on our Outdoor Classrooms Library Book Tour, I am delighted to be sharing yet another amazing resource.  Cultivating Outdoor Classrooms by Eric Nelson is perfect for natural teachers seeking to design and implement outdoor learning environments.  This book is a fabulous guide to help you plan, design, and create and outdoor learning program.

What if every child, in every school had access to a Children’s Garden or Outdoor Classroom?  Cultivating Outdoor Classrooms a mixture of beautiful photographs and an introduction to the essential framework for establishing outdoor environments for young children. It also aligns beautifully to our Outdoor Classrooms e-course: Teaching in the Dirt: Designing Outdoor Classrooms.

What early childhood leaders are saying….

“The outdoor classroom is a healthy, engaging, and creative response to today’s educational challenges. Cultivating Outdoor Classrooms provides the why and how in an accessible format that any educational leader can use to transform the learning environment at their school site.” Renatta M. Cooper, coauthor of Playing to Get Smart
